There are many advantages to the multi-grade classroom. Some research indicates that students in a multi-grade classroom have higher reading and math acheivement, better work-study skills, and better self-concepts than their peers in single-grade classrooms. As the school grows, plans include adding a Kindergarten program and additional classrooms.
Sonja Eberhart is the teacher. She brings a wealth of teaching experience and comes most recently from Adventist Christian Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Cornerstone Adventist Academy is a ministry of the University City Seventh-day Adventist Church. The school is governed by a board selected by the church and operates under the supervision of the Carolina Conference Office of Education.
